Foodie Dates for Your Diary – September
With the the start of school and summer coming to a close in September, it doesn’t mean foodie fun has to end. We’ve done a bit of digging to find you all the upcoming Foodie Events around the country coming up this September, and there is plenty to keep you busy!
1-3 September, Chatsworth Estate, Derbyshire
Entry: Adults £25; under 14’s free
There truly is something for everyone at this three-day celebration of the countryside, which is set against the beautiful backdrop of Chatsworth estate. For the foodies, there will be appearances from Paul Hollywood, Mary Berry and John Torode who will be conducting live cooking demonstrations. There will also be live music, horseback riding, motorcycle shows and wide range of food and shopping stalls. We’ll also be there at stall D14, so come chat to us about cookware. We’ll have our Copper Tri-ply and Copper Base cookware ranges on display and you might even catch a glimpse of one of ProWare’s Pooches too!
1-2 September, 92 Burton Road, Sheffield
Entry: Free
Peddler Night Market brings together all the makings of a great night. Award winning street food, craft beer, live music and art combine to create this monthly celebration which is a must see for anyone hoping to experience Sheffield at it’s best. Shoot the Bull, Baked in Brick and Magic Rock Brewery are just a few of those who will be appearing.

Meat, Fire, Smoke & Meat – what more could you want?! Founded in the US by the late great Josh Ozersky and brought to the UK by chef Richard H Turner, Meatopia is a festival of high quality, ethically sourced meat, all cooked over ethically sourced wood and charcoal by some of the world’s leading top chefs. A weekend-long love affair of meat, drink, fire and music, Meatopia UK has become a legendary event for food lovers.

8-10 September, Ludlow, Shropshire

Ludlow Food Festival was the UK’s first food festival and continues to attract visitors from across Britain and beyond. It’s regularly featured in top food festival lists and has just been voted Best Food Festival in the Midlands. More than 180 of the region’s top producers will descend on the pretty medieval market town for the festival. The unique setting within the ruined castle, around the market square and the wider town makes it one of the most spectacular on the calendar. There are also two demo stages, master classes, tutored tastings, the famous sausage and ale trails which take you on a journey of discovery around the town and much, much more.
8-10 September, Leeds Castle, Kent
Entry: Adults £24.90; under 4’s free
Celebrity chef Jean-Christophe Novelli will lead the chef line-up at this year’s Leeds Castle Food Festival, which takes place from Friday 8th September to Sunday 10th September in the castle’s magnificent grounds in Maidstone, Kent. The 900 year old castle is set within 500 acres of parkland and formal gardens including a maze and grotto.
The Festival will feature over 70 food and drink stalls including local Kent producers, children’s workshops and cookery classes, as well as wine and beer pairings.
30 September, Rugby, Warwickshire

If you love your food and drink make sure you get the date for this year’s ‘Rugby Food and Drink Festival’ in your diary. Taking place in Rugby town centre the event celebrates and showcases the amazing variety of high quality food and drink that the town has to offer.
You can also visit the pop-up kitchen where a variety of lively, informative and colourful demonstrations will be taking place throughout the day. A great place to pick up tips, talk directly with chefs and try some amazing food.
16-17 September, Sefton Park, Liverpool
Entry: Adults £6; under 14’s free
It’s the 10th anniversary Liverpool Food & Drink Festival. Expect the usual vibrant variety of food & drink from some of the best bars, restaurants & producers from the North West. Bring the kids along for a fun filled time in their kids village. On a healthy kick? They’ve got you covered too with their Healthy Living area full of fresh organic food that’s free from & good for you! They’ve got some much loved Celebrity Chefs joining us in Sefton Park for a weekend. Check out their website for more information.
28 Sep – 9 October, Albert Square, Manchester

The Manchester Food and Drink Festival is a nationally acclaimed event as is the UK’s largest urban food and drink festival that for 2017 is celebrating it’s astonishing 20th anniversary. It is an urban food and drink festival, there is no single location, rather the Festival takes over as much of the City Centre and surrounding districts of Greater Manchester as possible, with a huge programme of events taking place, both indoor and outdoor.
There will be a jam-packed festival of Pop Up Restaurants at the Festival Hub; live cookery; food parties; unique banquets; an incredible programme of events across the city’s best restaurants; brand new beer bars; dark spirit drinking dens, student supper clubs; street food and a whole feast more.
